Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) Melbourne
Therapeutic approaches used in RTT Hypnotherapy:
Neuro-linguistic programming is a technique used to help give you the tools you need to overcome life obstacles. NLP is, in essence, a way of helping you help yourself reach a state of excellence, happiness and peace of mind.
Cognitive Behaviour Therapy
Cognitive behavioural therapy (CBT) is a type of talking therapy. It is a common treatment for a range of mental health problems. CBT teaches you coping skills for dealing with different problems. It focuses on how your thoughts, beliefs and attitudes affect your feelings and actions.
Also referred to as hypnosis or hypnotic suggestion, is a trance-like state in which you have heightened focus and concentration. Hypnosis is usually done with the help of a therapist using verbal repetition and mental images.
Psychotherapy, or talk therapy, is a way to help people with a broad variety of mental illnesses and emotional difficulties. Psychotherapy can help eliminate or control troubling symptoms so a person can function better and can increase well-being and healing.
Rapid Transformational Therapy (RTT) embraces many of the positive aspects of hypnosis and hypnotherapy that are known to produce a transformative effect on clients.
RTT, unlike traditional hypnotherapy, does not rely solely on positive reinforcement. RTT is a powerful hybrid method that gets to the root cause of why we may feel stuck. It is a method that combines the most effective techniques from NLP (Neuro Linguistic Programming, CBT (Cognitive Behaviour Therapy), hypnotherapy, and psychotherapy with the ability to transform lives, powerfully and permanently.
During a session, we uncover the negative meaning/interpretation (self beliefs) from previous life events and then change that meaning/interpretation (self beliefs) to ones which are positive and empowering. It comes with a personalised recording post-session to help create new thoughts, habits, and behaviour, for fast, effective, and long-term change in limiting belief systems and learned behaviour patterns that create illness, emotional disturbances, spiritual disharmony and life fulfillment frustrations
While using correct, up-to-date, and relevant language when talking to yourself is certainly a part of any transformation, it serves as more of a reinforcement of breakthroughs, rather than the catalyst of them. As a Hypnotherapist I am able to help you reach breakthroughs via hypnosis that would not be possible if they were simply trying to reach your subconscious mind via altered language and self-talk. I am equipped with the techniques and tools that are crucial, not just in teaching you how to communicate with your subconscious mind, but also directly accessing and fixing whatever blockages or trauma that may be there.
We all have some sort of trauma – big or small because we are human. So as children we will have some unmet needs where we may have felt abandonment, unloved, unseen, or unheard. These are also traumas. Through hypnotherapy we can heal these traumas.
Unhealed traumas can look like:
- Low sense of self worth
- Co-dependency in relationships
- Fear of being abandoned
- Putting your needs aside for other people
- Craving for external validation
- An innate feeling of shame
- Not being able to tolerate conflict
- Always fearing what might happen
- Resisting positive change
- Tolerating abusive behaviours from others
- Difficulty in standing up for yourself and asserting boundaries
- Being overtly agreeable
- Commitment issues.
These unhealed traumas can then form a belief system
Belief Systems can be:
Fear based such as:
Truth based such as:
- I am not good enough
- I am to blame
- I have no control in my life
- I am unlovable
- I am unforgivable
- I am unworthy to receive
Curse based such as:
- I will never find happiness/peace/fulfilment
- I will never succeed
- Things will always go wrong
- I will never have enough
- It is always my fault
- No one can protect me
- I will be punished
If your unconscious belief is that you are either vulnerable or unworthy or guilty, then your emotional response will usually be either fear, resentment or anger
Depending on the belief system:
- if fear has been generated then a desire to run away will be paramount
- if resentment is felt then a desire to justify and defend one’s honour will eventuate
- if anger rises up then verbal or physical aggression will usually be the outcome
You will repeat these responses every time your belief is triggered or challenged until you change the belief.
So the focus of hypnotherapy is to uncover and change the belief systems behind your behaviour, feelings and thoughts that are causing disharmony or disruption in any area of your life.
We are not always aware of what beliefs we are holding on to at an unconscious level, however all behaviour, thoughts and feelings have their origins in a belief or truth. Hypnotherapy with me, will explore the underlying belief system that is operating in a negative way in your life. This could be behavioural problems, emotional trauma, fears and phobias or physical disease.
Changing your belief and the stored emotions will create a different perception so that you view the world through different lenses thereby creating a new YOU.
